The system passed operational tests in Himalaya in 2016 at an altitude of approx. 4.500 m above sea level at temperature range from -25 °C up to +45 °C.
Missions
- Tactical real-time intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance
- Force & convoy protection
- Border & coastal surveillance
- Special forces operations
- Military and para-military operations
Advantages
- Backpack carried system by 1 operator
- Electrical propulsion- inaudible at 100 metres above ground level
- Gimbaled & stabilized EO/IR payload – HD day & night video – automatic tracker system
- Highly deployable & simple to operate, fly to coordinate „CLICK & FLY “, return home & LAND
- Extremely strong airframe – Carbon & Kevlar – capable of landing on very rough terrain
- UAV uses a flip movement on its back and parachute during recovery mode
- MEMS technology is used in the INS/GPS – gives tremendous accuracy in a small and extremely lightweight package
AGLO I is comprised of the following components
- UAV – system+batteries
- GCS – typically a single portable ground control station
- Payload – dual sensor EO/IR with high zoom day/night camera
- GDT – portable ground data terminal
- Launching mechanism – typically bungee rope, nail and hammer
- Backpacks – to carry all the system components
- Field tools – to assembly and disassembly the system
- GSE – ground support equipment including battery charger and maintenance tools
